Hightouch/Hightech Science Field Trip and President's Day

We loved our in-school Hightouch/hightech field trip this week!  It was so fun to watch all my junior scientist performing experiments and loving science!

Atomic Amy teaching us about how to put a needle though a balloon without it popping!
 Thunderstorms in a Jar

Creating our own solar eclipses, this was so fun to watch everyone work as a team to get the experiment to work!

Feeling the energy from the electricity globe.
Double hands to see the energy split
This experiment was called ice fishing, this one was one of their favorites
Last week we celebrated some of our great American Presidents, Numbers 1 and 16 who did so much for our country!  We did a direct drawing exercise and I LOVE how great they all turned out!  I think Honest Abe and Mr. Washington would be very proud of their portraits!  Way to go, Miss Jones' Class!

We had so much fun this week celebrating Dr. Seuss and all of his amazing stories!  I will be posting soon about all the fun we had this week celebrating his 113th Birthday!
