Good Luck in 1st Grade!

I know I am very late posting this adorable picture of my now graduated Kindergartners, but as soon as we got out of school (like the night of our last teacher workday) I got on an airplane and headed to London and Scotland for 10 days!  So, please forgive me for the late post, but I am too proud of this amazing group of kids not to post their last class picture together as Kindergartners!
I am so thankful for my silly little monsters and how amazing they were this year!  Thanks to them and my WONDERFUL group of parent volunteers, this has by far been my favorite and best year teaching Kindergarten in all of the 6 years that I've taught!  Thank you so much for making my first year at Claxton to absolute best year, I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!
My handsome boys ready to take the stage to graduate!

I hope everything is having a safe and happy summer!  I can't wait to see everyone back at Claxton in August!
P.S.  I will be teaching Kindergarten Jumpstart there this summer, everyday until 12:30 if anyone wants to stop by for a hug and to just say hey!

Weaver Park Walking Field Trip

We had such an amazing day last Thursday on our walking field trip to Weaver Park!  The weather was perfect and it was a great way to celebrate all the hard work our little ones have accomplished this year!  I will definitely be sad to see them go to first grade, but I am extremely proud of each and every one of them!
Very happy walkers ready to head to Weaver Park!
 Heading to the Park!
Once we got to the park, we had the students map out the park in their science journals!  They did an amazing job and used all their new mapping skills perfectly!
 Working Hard Mapping the Park!

This is one of my favorite pictures of everyone working very hard to complete their maps!
 My sweet girls working hard!
 My sweet girls playing hard!
After we mapped the park we played for a little bit then it was snack time to refuel for more playing!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Dewey for making sure we had a yummy snack and plenty of water to help keep us fueled up for a full day of playing at the park!
I loved all the beautiful chalk pictures the girls worked on while we were at the park!
The boys were also working hard on the basketball court with Tirun's Dad, thank you so much Big Tirun for playing with our little basketballers!
The Twins had a blast in the sandbox!
The fun didn't stop at the park because Tirun's parents threw us a pizza and cupcake party at school when we got back!  This day really could not have been more perfect!  Thank you so much to everyone who helped this day be the perfect day for our amazing kids!
I can't believe it's already the last week of school!  I will be sending a little letter home on Monday with all the information about Graduation and our little celebration in our room after Graduation!  I am so proud of our amazing kids and can't wait to celebrate their wonderful accomplishments they have made this year!

Walking to Weaver Park

We are so excited for our walking field trip to Weaver Park on Thursday morning to explore our mapping skills we are learning and enjoy some playtime together before the end of the year!  We would love for anyone that can join us to come along or meet us there!  We are planning on leaving Claxton around 8:30am and will be returning back in time for lunch at 12!
