Turkeys

Turkeys have started to take over our daily lessons!  This week we used turkeys to help us with the "at" blend.  We thought of words that have the -at ending and put them on turkey feathers.  They turned out great!

A note from PTA...

The PTA asked us to let everyone know that they have rescheduled The Holiday Shop that they help sponsor from the dates in November to December 4, 5, and 6.  More information and details will be sent home closer to the dates about the Holiday shop!  Thank you!

"Orange" Day and Meeting a Meterologist

Thursday was a very exciting day for our classroom!  Our IB Unit this month is all about weather so Thursday morning we met a Meteorologist who explained how all the things we have been learning about effect our daily activites and exactly what they do to predict what the weather will be like for the day.  He read two books to us, "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" and "Franklin and The Thunderstorm."

He used a balloon and a needle to explain what happens inside a thunder cloud and why the loud "boom" happens during a thunderstorm!  This was after reading "Franklin and The Thunderstorm" and the kids LOVED it!
Then a few pictures of our class from "Orange" Day!
