Habit #6 and Learning through Play

Today we learned about Habit #6, Synergize "Together is Better" during our Leader in Me Lessons.  We used the book, "Memoirs of a Goldfish" to understand that when we all work together using each other's strengths, we get much more done!  After reading the book and talking about the Beginning, Middle, and End, we colored our own fishbowls and then made a classroom fishbowl with handprint fish representing each student!
Getting our hands messy and having a blast!
I am obsessed with how cute our classroom fishbowl turned out!  It looks amazing, and I love how it represents each of our students that make up our classroom!
We have also been having a blast learning through play during our developmental centers!  This is probably one of my favorite parts of the day to watch the students interact socially with each other and use their imaginations to create amazing projects!
A small look in to our classroom during this fun part of the day!
The Science and Math Centers are two of the most popular centers during this part of the day!
Art and painting have also become hotspots during this time of the day!
Dress-up/Home-living is one of the centers that brings out the most imagination!  It's always a treat to listen/watch whats going on in this center!  This picture is of the girls pretending to be fashion models!
I just cannot get over how cute they all are!  We are having a great week in room 150 and I hope everyone else is having a great week, too!
