100th Day of School

We had so much fun on the 100th Day of School!  We made 100th Day of school necklaces and hats as well as did a lot of math and literacy work using the number 100!
Listening to a book about the 100th Day of School
We read 3 books about The 100th Day of School and the kids really enjoyed them!  We read "Happy 100th Day!" by Susan Milord, "Fancy Nancy, The 100th Day of School" by Jane O'Connor, and "One Hundred Hungry Ants" by Elinor J. Pinczes.

We did some writing about having One Hundred Dollars!  It was so funny to see what the kids said they would buy!  A few of those things included remote control cars, remote control rockets, houses, beautiful dresses, cats, dogs, cakes, Ipads, Iphones, and skateboards with helmets and pads!  I always love hearing what their creative little minds come up with!
Then I let them draw a picture of what they think they are going to look like when they are 100 years old!  Almost all of them gave themselves walking canes, glasses, gray hair, and a few of the girls gave themselves Grandchildren and Grandbabies!

This student made sure to let me know he drew himself very close to the T.V because older people can't see very well anymore!

We had such a fun day and I am very thankful to have been able to teach my sweet angels for the past 100 days!  It's looking like our Field Trip will be rescheduled once again due to the weather so as soon as we know what day it is rescheduled to I will let you know!  Snow, Snow, go away!!!  Everyone stay safe and warm and I'll see you soon, hopefully!
