Park Rangers, Penguins, and Groundhogs

It has been a very busy couple of weeks in Room 150!  I can hardly believe we are creeping very close to the 100th Day of school coming up next Monday, the 13th, already!  With that being said, I wanted to share some exciting things we have been working on in our class over the past two weeks!
We were so lucky to have some very special guest visit last week to tell us all about the different types of animals and their habitats who call the Blue Ridge home!
This was truly an amazing experience for us to get up close to parts of Animals that we would otherwise never be able to explore!

We have also been learning all about Penguins during our Non-Fiction unit of study during our reading block!  So, we did the most adorable directed drawling sample of some of the cutest penguins I have ever seen!  Way to go, Miss Jones' Class!  Great listening skills to complete your directed drawings!

We also had a great day celebrating Groundhog Day last Thursday!  Everyone loved learning all about the tradition and then guessing and graphing our guesses!  They also looked pretty adorable in their Goundhog hats!!!
 Miss Jones' happy little Groundhogs!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I can't wait to see all my sweet Groundhogs bright and early in the morning for breakfast in our classroom!  Have a great week!
