Field Trip to Asheville Fire and Police Departments

We had the most wonderful time on our first field trip to Asheville Fire and Police Departments last week!
There's a lot of excitement of these little faces!
We started off at the Police Department
Where they let us put our fingerprints and hand prints on the police vehicles and then take our prints off of the vehicles to record on to paper for us to keep!
Look at all the excitement on these beautiful faces!
 Awesome fingerprints!
Then we got to sit in the driver's seat of a police car and turn the sirens and lights on!
Pure joy getting to pretend to be Police Officers in a real life Police car!
More hand prints off the Police vehicles
Look how great they turned out!
It was such a wonderful day for our excited little Leaders!
Then we got to go to the Fire Department and see where they eat their meals!
And where the Fire Chief sleeps!!!
Then where everyone else gets to sleep!
Sitting on the front of a fire truck brings a lot of joy to a Kindergartner's heart!
Sitting in the jumpseats of the Fire Truck
 More awesome fingerprints!
Learning about the other forms of Police transportation besides the Police Cars!
Evan is ready to head out to the next fire!
These are some pretty cute Fire Girls!
Learning all about the rescue part of the Fire and Rescue Department
Learning all about how much the equipment weighs and how the Fire Fighters look when they have their full equipment on!
Learning about air packs and how smoke makes it hard for us to breath when there is a fire.
High Fives from the Fire Fighter so we aren't scared if we are ever in a fire and see someone looking like this trying to help us!
We are so thankful to the Asheville Fire and Police Departments for an Amazing Field Trip!  Y'all are truly Heroes of our Community and we cannot say thank you enough!  Now, on to researching apples for our next field trip to Stepp Orchards next Wednesday!  Don't forget to complete your child's permission slips!  Have a wonderful week!
