Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins

With our upcoming field trip next week to the pumpkin patch/corn maze approaching we have been talking and reading all about pumpkins this week.  We have read both nonfiction and fiction books about pumpkins!  Some of our favorites have been
"The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin"
 "Corduroy's Best Halloween Ever!"

"A Day at the Pumpkin Patch."
Some of the fun activities we have done with pumpkins include retelling how a pumpkin grows and also how to make a jack-o-lantern.

Then instead of "Ten Apples on Top" by Dr. Seuss we made our own version up with "Ten Pumpkins up on Top" to help practice writing our numbers 1-10!

Please continue to work with your students on writing numbers, letters, and their names!  I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!
