This coming Friday, Feb28th, we are going to celebrate Dr. Seuss' 110th
Birthday! His real birthday is Sunday, March 2nd, but this is such a
fun day for the students that I decided to celebrate this wonderful
writer a couple of days early! We will be wearing our PJ's to school and doing all sorts of fun work with Dr. Seuss books this week! Today we started the week off by reading and talking all about The Lorax!
In writing today we wrote about how
we could help save the trees, just like the Lorax was trying to do in the
story! The students loved making their own little Loraxes to go on the top of the writing page! Tomorrow we are going to read Horton Hatches an Egg!
