Firefighters

 Today we were so lucky that a couple Fire Fighters from Garner Fire Department came to visit.  They brought a fire truck out to our school for us to look at and we had an amazing time!  Thank you so much Garner Fire Department, we had a blast!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 This has already been a very exciting week!  We can't wait for tomorrow when the Meteorologist comes for a visit!

Patterns and Candy Corn, Oh my!

Today we began working on making patterns.  We started with learning what a simple AB repeating pattern is and how to make them ourselves.  We used pumpkins and candy corn to complete our own patterns, and they turned out great!!!

 

 

 

Candy Corn Math

Every Friday I try to do something a little special for the students and I like to call it, "Fun Friday!"  They love this!  Since last Friday was an Early Release and we didn't have as much time as we usually do for Fun Friday activities, I decided to add a little extra fun to our math lesson!  We used candy corn to help us count and then after we finished our work we enjoyed a small little snack of delicious candy corn!
